I'm Dara, a designer, product leader, storyteller, always in pursuit of creating with heart and purpose.

Lately, my days are spent building collaborative tools that help creators bring their best ideas to life and partnering independently with companies to make complex systems and products feel effortless. I’m driven by a deep respect for craft, an endless curiosity for what’s possible, and a desire to bring clarity and purpose to the products I help create.

I've been fortunate to work with some of the most innovative minds in the industry, in roles across design, product, and engineering, shaping products that have become part of our daily rhythms. At The Browser Company, I designed Arc, a browser that feels like home, beautifully built for how we work and connect today. At Netflix, I designed products that make collaborating on a movie feel as magical as the final film. At Microsoft, I built products experimenting with emerging technology, earning a few patents along the way. My approach to product and design blends strategic vision with craft—thoughtfully considered, always pushing the boundaries of what software can be, and reflective of the values we hold close.

My journey has also taken me across West and Southern Africa, collaborating with startups in industries as varied as crypto, finance, and healthcare. These experiences have only deepened my belief that innovation can be both locally impactful and globally scalable.

I call Los Angeles home, though you’ll often find me in Lagos—two west coast cities with enough fuel for the imagination. In my spare time, I’m likely hosting spaces for connection, writing stories, capturing portraits, or dreaming up new ways to support those with a deep sense of purpose and conviction.

Afriquette, a platform I founded, is one of the ways I honor and amplify the voices and talents of African and Diasporan creators. It’s a labor of love, rooted in the belief that creativity can both reflect and reshape the world around us.
